About the Experience

Master arrow smithing in our traditional coal forge! Once this was one of the most important trades supplying armour piecing heads to England’s army and razer sharp broad heads to the King’s game keepers! Now it is officially on the red list of endangered craft and we are one of the few in the country practicing and more importantly teaching this intricate skill!

Join us for a full day in the forge getting to grips with the basics as you put hammer against hot metal. Learn to make sockets full sized to military spec or smaller for every day shooting. Once mastered you will progress onto making Type 9 & 10 bodkins and by the end of the day you will have turned your hand to some basic hunting style heads as well!

Learn how to harden and fine finish these heads to a standard that any outlaw archer would be proud of!
