About the Experience

Master the art of bow making in two days, immersing yourself in all parts of this ancient skill. If you want to take ownership of every stage then this is course for you!

Starting with a blank tri-laminate stave consisting of maple, purple heart and lemonwood you will carefully rough the shape out with your desired draw weight & length in mind before piking the tips to accept the blank pieces of horn.

By the end of the first day you will have a bow shaped object with the horn nocks roughly shaped and your own custom bow string.

Next comes the magic and the true art of bow making as you start the tillering process. Taking your piece of wood and teaching it to bend using this time honoured process you will keep at it until your bow bends perfectly full compass at your draw length.

Of course you wont embark on this journey alone, our most experienced and skilled bowyers are on hand to guide your hand as they share their craft with you. By the end of the course you will have added an arrow mark and polished your bow to a shiny finish, ready to hit the range and send some arrows down the field!
